Lyme Regis is full of fossils, mostly ammonites. You may recognise it from The French Lieutenant’s Woman. I was hoping we’d get along to the fossil beach for some of the filming but unfortunately not possible with heavy camera equipment. We’d also planned to do the whole piece to camera – I’d been learning it off by heart – but it was too windy for the mic so we had to add voice over later.
but many thanks to Nomad and the lymeregistv team who put this together.
Your reading brings out the poetry of the passage. You have a wonderful voice. I’d love to hear you read Alice in Wonderland.
And an ammonite on the back cover. I’m intrigued.

I love hearing you reading this, Ali. Your voice is mesmerising and I wish I could hear you reading more!
Good luck, Ali – I liked the video, and the passages from The Girl on the Swing.
