It sits beyond my depth of site
The proof that God is there
A particle of unknown light
Of which I’m unaware.
They say the deep equations proved
The particle must be
Akin to matter once removed.
A mystery to me.
If it were found, could we know all
And never question more?
Or are we Alice, lost and small
Just peeking through the door?
We barely have begun to learn all that we want to know
We may need faith to pull us back, agree God made it so.

A similar theme to Tom’s – in fact, the nature of knowledge and whether there are tings we can’t know/shouldn’t seek to know is a very rich seam for Boson-writers to mine. I must say Marcella has curated the collection well by putting these pieces together. “And never question more?” That’s one of the great dilemmas of the human make-up. What if we DID know everything? what then?
Dan
Even if we knew everything, we’d disagree with the implications of such knowledge.
